SMS Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the text-message (SMS) program operated by Hoyt Notary Services ("we," "us," or "Jeffrey Hoyt"). By providing your mobile phone number to us — verbally when scheduling a signing, or through the booking form on hoytnotary.com — you agree to these terms.

Program name and purpose

Program: Hoyt Notary Services Signing Follow-ups.
Purpose: After your mobile or remote online notary signing is complete, we send a one-time follow-up text message thanking you and requesting feedback about your experience, with up to one reminder if you have not responded. We may also send appointment confirmations related to your signing.

Message frequency

Message frequency is low — typically 1–2 messages per signing. We do not send recurring marketing or promotional texts.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile carrier and your plan. Check with your carrier if you have questions about your rates.

HELP instructions

Reply HELP to any message from us to receive help information. You can also contact Jeffrey Hoyt directly at 206-940-7725 or jjhoyt@gmail.com.

STOP instructions (opt-out)

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Reply STOP to any message from us and we will stop sending SMS messages to that number. You will receive a one-time confirmation message that no further messages will be sent. If you want to rejoin later, sign up again by providing your mobile number to Jeffrey, or reply START.

Carrier disclaimer

Carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost Mobile, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Cricket Wireless, and Google Fi, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of messages is subject to the effective transmission from your wireless carrier and is outside of our control. Supported carriers may change without notice.

Privacy

We do not share or sell mobile numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties for their marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Eligibility

You must be the account holder or have authority to consent to messaging for the mobile number you provide, and you must be at least 18 years of age.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
